Job Title: Full-time Assistant Project Manager/Engineer

Minimum Job Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Annual Salary: $73,611.20

Job Duties:

  • Design and manage wireless voice, data, and multimedia services on the Company’s engineering projects

  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks

  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs, as established

  • Analyze plans and subsequent construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineering

  • Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria when formulating an enumerated plan to execute a sequence of engineering-related tasks

  • Operate computer-assisted design software to perform engineering tasks

  • Install and manage computer servers, network switches, routers, wireless implementations, system administration issues, or network issues

  • Conduct polarity test of the sockets to demonstrate that the equipment installed complies with requirements

  • Work on the administration and maintenance of the databases

  • Review, coordinate, and track submittals using project management software such as Ebuilder, Constructware, and other industry-related software

  • Create submittals, submittal logs, and requests for information (RFI) documents where necessary

  • Prepare and submit test procedures, performance curves test report forms, operations and maintenance manuals, and other required data for operational tests and cross-system communication and functioning

  • Responsible for bulletin submissions, first article inspection/testing, factory acceptance testing, field installation and acceptance testing, and technical documentation of all relevant systems

  • Create quality program and work plans in order to manage all quality-related issues for Company projects;

  • Perform all pre-functional checks, inspections, and tests, including static tests, for all mechanical and electrical systems requiring integration

  • Responsible for equipment startup and verification of interlocks for all mechanical and electrical systems

  • Prepare forms for responses to requests for proposals in connection with public works projects

  • Ensure that all project designs meet or exceed the engineering requirements for the Company’s projects;

  • Inspect and test fiber optic cables, power cables, and communication cables using fluke meters

  • During and after installation, visually inspect the signal cables for nicks, gouges, chaffing, or any obvious damage. Prepare and submit final test reports

  • Perform Megger testing on all electrical cables, as per specifications, generate a report, and submit analysis for compliance with contract-specific standards

  • Design review, implementation, and deployment CCTV, IESS, Intrusion Access Control, Network Access Nodes, PA/CIS systems

  • Create shop drawings and as-built drawings using AutoCAD software

  • Prepare technical drawings and electrical framework specifications to meet client and industry standards

  • Consult with designers, clients, and engineers to examine existing and potential building activities

  • Identify all electrical systems risks and track and report the mitigation of those risks

  • Configure, actualize, maintain and enhance electrical instruments, equipment, hardware components, and systems

  • Training in the use of screen takeoff software

  • Cost Estimating

  • Assist in developing and updating the project schedule

  • Review, analyze, and make recommendations on project change orders
