ESTIMATOR

We are seeking both experienced and entry-level Estimators. The work will involve all aspects of project estimating and bidding. The candidate will analyze project documents, specifications, and drawings and work with the estimating team to submit bids and proposals. Responsibilities

• Review, interpret and accurately estimate projects ranging from under $1M to over $150M

• Contact prospective subcontractors and participate in the evaluation of their qualifications

• Participate in putting together bid packages and proposals

• Attend pre-bid conferences and site tours

• Assist in negotiation and preparation of subcontracts and purchase agreements

• Contribute to the preparation of preliminary work schedules; assess cost impacts of such schedules

• Quantity general conditions costs and consider value engineering proposals

• Participate in presentations to and negotiations with Clients

 

Requirements

• Experienced Estimator - 5 years minimum experience in estimating

• Entry Level – no experience required; Engineering degree preferred

• Knowledge of or deep interest in construction and engineering

• Strong attention to detail

• Good organizational skills

• Anything beyond this list can be learned on the job; we are willing to train
