MTA SANDY REPAIRS AT CULVER YARD EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT

The MTA Sandy Repairs at Culver Yard Equipment Replacement project includes furnishing, installing, testing and placing in-operation signal equipment and components required for a complete operational fixed block signal system for the Culver Train Yard. By meticulously executing these tasks, the project will enhance and modernize Culver Yard's infrastructure, implementing the highest safety standards and ensuring a more efficient and reliable rail operation.

  • Scope of Work:

    • Furnishing, installing, testing and placing in-operation signal equipment and components required for a complete operational fixed block signal system for the Culver Train Yard

    • Replacing 3166 Track Feet of existing Type VI and Type VII track with new Type VI track

    • Replacing 5300 Linear Feet of existing 150 lbs positive Contact Rails with new bi-metallic contact rail

    • Update positive traction power connections and negative traction power cables

    • Replace interlocking tracks, signals, local cables, switches, track circuits, etc.
